Custom Digital Key Development Solution in compliance with CCC standards.
As vehicles become increasingly connected and software-defined, traditional key fobs and keyless entry systems face growing cybersecurity risks including unauthorized access, relay attacks, and credential theft.
At the same time, shared mobility and delegated access services require more secure and scalable credential management across mobile, cloud, and vehicle environments.
Automotive Digital Key is a customizable solution designed to align with the latest Car Connectivity Consortium (CCC) Digital Key specifications, featuring a customizable high-security applet that strengthens credential protection and seamless integration with diverse OEM vehicle architectures and security policies.
Automotive Digital Key provides a highly secure and convenient lock-and-key system for OEM, fleet, and shared mobility applications through standards-based authentication, cryptographic key management, and secure communication between cloud, mobile, and in-vehicle environments.
Overview
Automotive Digital Key Coverage
Built on a certificate chain-of-trust authentication system for vehicle-to-device (V2D) communications, the solution supports secure communication channels between the Key Tracking Server, Vehicle OEM Server, Vehicle CCC Applet & Host API, and the Relay Server.

AutoCrypt® Testkit enables OEMs and suppliers to validate Digital Key interoperability and functionality against CCC Digital Key specifications before vehicle-level deployment, streamlining integration and accelerating rollout readiness.

Backend credential governance AutoCrypt® VOS & KTS
AutoCrypt® Vehicle OEM Server (VOS) and Key Tracking Server (KTS) manage Digital Key credential lifecycle governance across mobile, cloud, and vehicle environments. Supporting delegated access control and audit tracking, the architecture enables owner pairing, key sharing, and access termination for OEM and mobility service ecosystems.

In-Vehicle Digital Key operation with CCC Applet & CCC Host API
The CCC Applet and CCC Host API enable secure Digital Key operation within the vehicle Body Domain Controller (BDC) environment. Operating through the Secure Element, the CCC Applet performs credential storage and cryptographic processing, while the CCC Host API supports authenticated communication between vehicle systems and backend infrastructure.
The architecture supports emerging CCC Digital Key R4.0 capabilities, including server-generated keys, delegated access control, and fleet-oriented credential management, while building on production-proven deployment experience from CCC Digital Key R3.0 implementations.
